SOUS Die Cut Challenge - Trick or Treat

Here is my project for the Stuck On U Sketches Die Cut Challenge - Trick or Treat. I love this time of year, especially for Halloween. I really love making all the cute and scary cards and projects.
For this challenge I created a cute and fun way to give out some special treats to some very special trick-er treat-ers! The box itself is cut from one of my favorite Cricut cartridges, Chic-n-Scary, at 4-3/4". From bottom to top the box measures 4-1/2"h by 2-3/4"w by 2-1/8"d. I then took a white gel pen and did a dash line all the way around the box. I recommend doing this before putting the box together. I took a piece of paper cut to 2-1/2" by 10". I glued it around the box, cutting off the excess, then I glued the box together. The pumpkin on the front is cut at 2-3/4" from Cricut cartridge Mini Monsters. The purple ruffle is a piece of paper cut to 1-1/4" by 8". I scored the paper every 1/4" then folded the paper back and forth. After that I glued the ends together and let it dry. Then I glued the ruffle to a 2" purple circle. When it is completely dried I glued the pumpkin to the ruffle and the whole thing to the box. Here are the details:

  • Cricut cart.: Chic-n-Scary, Mini Monsters
  • Paper: Doodlebug (2005)
  • Cardstock: Bazzill
  • White Gel Pen: Signo Broad White
  • Adhesive: Scotch ATG, Scotch Quick Dry

I really appreciate you coming to my blog and checking out my really cute Halloween project. Don't forget to join us over at the SOUS Die Cut challenge Trick or Treat with your amazing project. Thanks again for looking at my treat box and have a great weekend! :)

13 Nights of Halloween #4

Today is day #4 of my 13 Nights of Halloween and I have a new project for you. This cut comes from Cricut cartridge Mini Monsters. I love the style of old street lamps and just fell in love with this one. Plus it's Halloween which gives it another plus!
I cut the lamp out at 4-3/4". I wouldn't recommend cutting it much smaller as the words might not cut very clear and would be very hard to understand. My card base is a normal A2 size, 4-1/4" x 5-1/2". Here are the rest of the supplies:

  • Cricut cart: Mini Monsters
  • Paper: Unknown
  • Cardstock: Bazzill
  • Stickles: Yellow
  • Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon
  • Pop dots: Recollections
  • Adhesive: Scotch, Zig
Thanks so much again for looking at my project and blog. I really appreciate it. Come back tomorrow for another Halloween project as we count down my 13 Nights of Halloween. And don't forget about the giveaway. Just leave a comment below to be entered to win a cute Halloween tp mini album! Pics coming soon. Thanks again. :)

Halloween night #3

We are now on night #3 and tonight I did another card for you. I used Mini Monsters Cricut cartridge again as I love this thing! It has so many cute cut-outs and the Card feature is too die for. I cut the witches hat using the Card button at 4 1/2". The card base it's self is 5 3/4" x 4 1/2". I used Cuttlesbug's Seeing Spots on the inner layer which is 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". This was really a quick and easy card to do. The paper is all from Bazzill, and the ribbon is from Walmart. I used purple Stickles on the purple dots and, the Trick or Treat stamp on the inside is from MPS "Spook-alicious" stamp set. I hope you enjoy and have a great night!

Spider card for night #2

Well, here is 13 Nights of Halloween night #2! For tonight I decided to do a simple card. The spider is from Cricut cartridge Mini Monsters, and the web is from Happy Hauntings. I just did a card base of 4 1/2" x 6 1/4". The green layer is 4 1/4" x 6" and is embossed with Cuttlebug's Polka Dots. I cut the spider web at 6" with the Real Dial Size button on, otherwise it cuts at something like 19". The really cute spider was cut with the Card feature at 3 1/4". All paper is from Bazzill, and I used Diamond Stickles on her yellow diamond. On the inside of the spider I stamped "Happy Halloween" from the stamp set "Happiest Moments" from MPS.

I hope you like it as this was such a fun card to put together. Have a great night!
