SOUS Die Cut Challenge - In The Water

Welcome back again to my blog. Here we have our next Die Cut Challenge over at SOUS and it is In The Water. You need to do something in water. Try to think out of the box for this one. I did an A2 size card with a cute little mermaid in the ocean. I used the cartridge Life is a Beach from Cricut and cut her out at 4". I cut the palm tree from the same cartridge at 3". I just tore the paper for the sand/beach area. The water paper is from a Paper Studio paper pack. I just used some stickles to outline the waves in the paper.
Here are the details:

  • Cricut cart: Life is a Beach
  • Cardstock: Bazzill
  • Pattern paper: Paper Studio
  • Stickles: Gold, Fruit Punch, Waterfall
  • Ink: Cat's Eye-Dark Brown
  • Bling: I-rock
  • Adhesive: Scotch ATG, Zig 2 way glue
Thanks so much for looking at my blog post. Remember, at SOUS we are having a monthly sponsor and this month it is:

I Made It!!

Well, the news is out and it is official that I have been picked to be, and I am so excited about making it, onto the Stuck on U Sketches Design Team as a Project Life Designer! I initially applied for the Die Cut team but it was already full so the co-creator of the blog, Leah, thought that I would be perfect for the Project Life team. So I gave it a thought and watched several You Tube videos and decided that I wanted to do it. I had heard of Project Life but had not done any of it. I was so excited to try something new and exciting. Here is my first PL layout:

I had so much fun creating it too. I have since ordered several of the page protectors and a couple of the card packs. I plan on using mostly 12" x 12" paper cut down to the various sizes. I want people to understand that you don't need to purchase the kits in order to do PL. You can use any kind of paper for it, like I did above. Here are the details:
  • Cricut cart: Life Is A Beach
  • Paper: Paper Studio
  • Cardstock: Bazzill
  • Washi tape: Walmart
  • Alphas: Doodlebug, Cosmo Cricket, American Crafts
  • Stickles: Pink Glam, Firefly
  • Brads: Unknown
  • Buttons: Making Memories
  • Adhesive: Scotch, Zig, Recollections
I hope you really like this layout. It was such a blast to do and learn. Have a great day and come back often to see what I am doing on Stuck On U Sketches!

Mermaid card

Today I have made this cute little mermaid card. At Fantabulous Cricut they are having a challenge to make an item with a scene on it. It can be anything you want, but I chose a card that is 4-1/4" x 5-1/2". I thought instantly of this mermaid and knew she would be perfect. Here are the details:

  • Cricut cart: Life is a Beach
  • Cardstock: Bazzill
  • Pattern paper: Paper Studio
  • Stickles: Gold, Fruit Punch, Waterfall
  • Ink: Cat's Eye-Dark Brown
  • Bling: I-rock
  • Adhesive: Scotch ATG, Zig 2 way glue
Thanks so much for looking at my blog post. I hope you have a great weekend! :)

Pineapple card

I can't believe it has been a bit since my last post. I don't like going that long but motivation has been real slow coming to me. I often need a kick start to get going. When your days are filled with nothing but scrapping or anything else I want to do, it gets kind of boring after a while (I'm disabled so I don't work). My Craft Spot is having a challenge to create an item with bright summer colors. Also Fantabulous Cricut is having a challenge to create an item too with a BBQ or picnic food. My creation included both. Here are the details:

  • Cricut cart: Life Is A Beach
  • Cardstock: Bazzill
  • Pattern paper: Kaiser Craft
  • Ink: Cat's Eye-Dark Brown
  • Adhesive: ATG, Zig 2 way glue
Enjoy and thanks for looking!:)

  • Ribbon: Unknown
  • Flowers: Prima
  • Embellishments: Echo Park Papers
  • Bling: I-rock

Tags

Hey everyone! I thought I would post these tags that I quickly put together. I had, a few years ago, punched out a lot of these tags and now I wanted to find something to do with them. I thought that they would make cute gift tags to put on to either a gift bag or boxed present. Here is my recipe for each one:

Girl Tag

  • Paper: Bazzill, Doodlebug

  • Cricut cart: Lite Sugar and Spice

  • Buttons: My stash

  • Stamp: My Pink Stamper-Happiest Moments

  • Stamp pad: Versafine-black

  • Chaulk: Cats Eye-Rouge

  • Ribbon: Ofray

Boy Tag

  • Paper: Bazzill

  • Cricut cart: Lite B is for Boy

  • Buttons: My stash

  • Stamp: My Pink Stamper-Happiest Moments

  • Stamp pad: Versafine-black

  • Ribbon: Ofray

Ocean Tag

  • Paper: Bazzill, pp is unknown

  • Cricut cart: Life is a Beach

  • Brad: K & Company

  • Buttons: Dress Me Up

  • Ribbon: Ofray, All My Memories

  • Ribbon tag: Making Memories

Each was very easy to make. I cut out the various Cricut cuts then I assembled the tags. The baby stroller was cut at 2-1/2", the zebra was cut at 3", and the ship was cut at 2".
Enjoy them and thanks for looking. I LOVE comments! Lol.
