SOUS Project Life Challenge - Add a Pocket and Pull Out Card

Here is my project that I did for SOUS Project Life Challenge - Pocket with card. The card inside says " Happy Valentines Day". This challenge is a pretty easy one to do. You do have to remember that it would be easier to get to your card if you put it on the right side page. Most of the cards on this page are from Scraptastic kit club. I tried to keep the Valentine feeling in my layouts by using more pink and red this week.
Remember also that we have a sponsor this month with some special blog candy to one lucky winner of this months challenges.
Have a great week! :)

Alligator Birthday card

Hi again! Here is another card that I created. I love the colors in this card. They are so bright and always make me think birthday! I first used the Sketch Challenge on Fantabulous Cricut to get the design of my card. Then I used the Puns Challenge over at My Craft Spot for the Snappy Birthday saying. The alligator is cut at 1-1/2" which may seem small but if you cut him much larger you will need a longer card. My card base is 4-1/4"x 5-1/2". This was a very easy card to make. Here are the details:

  • Cricut cart: Birthday Bash
  • Cardstock: Bazzill
  • Pattern paper: Echo Park "That's My Boy"
  • Cuttlebug: Spots and Dots
  • Twine: We R Memory Keepers
  • Stamp: My Pink Stamper "More Punny-licious"
  • Ink: Versafine
  • Adhesive: Scotch, Zig
I really hope you enjoy this card. It was such a blast to make. Hope you have a great day! :)

SOUS Project Life Challenge - Heart Cut Out, Use Negative Space

Here is my latest Project Life layout. It was for SOUS Challenge: Heart Cut Out, Use Negative Space. I did that with a little inspiration from my favorite Youtuber Mercytiara. She had done a similar cutout with a word card so I was wanting to try it too and here was my chance.
I first used my Cricut to cut out a heart template using cartridge Plantin Schoolbook. I cut the heart at 2-1/4". I then placed it on a Becky Higgins 3"x 4" grid card and traced around the heart. I then cut the heart out using my Exacto blade. I backed the card with a piece of cardstock in the color pink because after all next week is Valentine's Day. I then used some Glossy Accents and filled the heart in in sections while sprinkling sequins on top. I did this in about 4 sections. Then I placed it up, as I have cats who love to still my stuff, until it was dry. Next time I try this I will place something over it to keep it flat while it drys as it wrinkled a little.
Well, I really hope you enjoyed my Project Life this week. I really had a fun time creating this heart cut out. Until our next challenge have a great week and keep on up with your Project Life. :)
